Nature Together Preschool Program

Early learning program taught completely outdoors in the Japanese Gulch. This program is for 3-5-year-olds that are potty trained. Children will join Miss Kris and her assistant in the Japanese Gulch exploring, experimenting, playing, observing and more. We will spend the first 2 1/2 hours of class learning in the forest and will end our time at the Mukilteo community garden shelter with lunch, a story, a project and/or discussion of what we discovered that day.

Our program uses an inquiry-based teaching style to spark children’s curiosity and engage in active learning. The program’s curriculum emerges from the children’s interest as they move through the natural world and the seasons. In this program, the children will develop a strong sense of place and belonging from their intimate connection with nature. We also encourage individual empowerment and promote group bonding.

The 2018-2019 preschool program will run for 3 semesters following the Mukilteo school district. Our class will be offered on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Classes run from 9:45 a.m.–12:45 p.m. You can register for 1 or both days.

Join Miss Kris from Nature Together for a free weekly walk in the woods of
the Japanese Gulch. We will play and explore the beautiful area together.
There will be no lesson plan; just hiking, curiosity and natural discoveries!

Beginning August 7th and ending August 28th, we will hike every Wednesday
at 10am. Meet at the Japanese Gulch south trail head parking lot (4407 76th Street Southwest, Mukilteo, WA 98275) near the community garden. Our hikes start promptly at 10:00am so arrive a few minutes early. Each hike will last approximately one hour.

Open to children of all ages. FREE.

No registration necessary.

August 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th.
