Time Magazine’s 2009 Hero of Environment, Author & Environmentalist Casson Trenor will be coming to Rosehill Community Center on December 11th from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm. Trenor, a native to Mukilteo, will read his beautiful children’s book, Umijoo. The entertaining and educating book tells the tale of a young girls magical adventure to the ocean’s depths as well as the connections between our daily life and the health of our oceans. This fun, FREE event for the entire family will be followed by a book signing.
The Orca Network will also be there with educational activities and materials for the kids.
Books will be available for purchase and a portion of proceeds will be donated to the Orca Network, a local environmental group that works to connect whales and people in the pacific NW.
